Abby Mastrone -Intern
Abby has over 10 years of experience within the mental health field and has worked in multiple settings including intensive outpatient programs, in-home services, therapeutic day programs, and grief support groups. She works primarily with children as young as 3 years old up to early adolescence. Abby is currently obtaining her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sacred Heart University and holds an additional Masters of Science in Applied Community Psychology, as well as a Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies.
Abby has worked with children and teens who have experienced significant trauma, school avoidance, grief and loss, behavioral problems, anxiety, and depression. Abby believes in a strength-based and child centered approach as well as the incorporation of play-based techniques to support and empower her clients. Abby is committed to providing a supportive, non-judgmental, and welcoming environment in which all of her clients feel safe, seen, and heard.
